Dra. Maria Karina Velez Jimenez
Neurologist
She is founding president of the Mexican Association of Headache and Migraine (AMCEMIG) 2018-2020 and founding coordinator of the headache group of the Mexican Academy of Neurology. She is also a past Treasurer and Secretary of the Mexican Academy of Neurology and current secretary of the Latin American Headache Society.
Dr Velez Jimenez is an active council woman of the Mexican Neurology Council and member of the IHS AMN, AHS, AAN and ANA.
Her research focuses on Headache and Migraine and she is the editor of several books on Headache and Migraine as well Chronic migraine guidelines published in 2021 in the journal Cephalalgia. She is a visiting professor at the Philadelphia Headache Clinic
